Arrival Time
In order to lower stress and improve the return on your investment, we advise that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your child/children’s swimming lesson. This will give you enough time to get them changed and for them to use the bathroom before their lesson starts, which reduces disruptions during the lesson.

Parental Responsibilities
Neil Bailey Swimming teachers and staff are only responsible for the care of your child during their swimming lesson, whilst changing before and after their swimming lessons, they should be supervised by a parent/guardian.

Any accompanying children who are not swimming should be supervised and controlled at all times.

Changeover periods are very busy with the transition between lessons, please make sure that you move quickly into the changing rooms rather than crowding the poolside to allow the next group of swimmers to safely make their way to their class.

Pool Rules
All specific site-based health and safety rules will be strictly enforced. Please see the site-specific details posted in each location.

Behaviour Policy
If bad behaviour poses a direct threat to the child, other swimmers or staff the child will be asked to leave the premises.

Dress Code
As long as we are dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic our default position is come ready to swim under outdoor clothing. Once we are clear of the current pandemic this will be altered as appropriate.

Eating before your child’s swimming lesson
Swimming like any other physical activity can be uncomfortable to do with a full stomach, we advise that no large meals are consumed at least 1 hour before your child’s swimming lesson. In the early stages of learning to swim large amounts of air and water can be swallowed which can result in the child being sick. Our intensive lessons require lots of energy and physical hard work and this can sometimes cause children’s bodies to reject the last thing they may have eaten – to reduce the risk of this happening we suggest a small, easily digestible snack 1 hour before their lesson. After swimming your child will need to rehydrate and refuel so we suggest bringing a water bottle and snack for the journey home.

No food at our venues.

No food or hot drinks are to be consumed in the changing rooms or on poolside.

Lost property
Neil Bailey Swimming cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to clothing or personal items at any venue. If you have lost any item whilst at the venue please ask a member of staff who will try to reunite you with your belongings.
